The management and staff of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home extend its sincerest condolences to the family of Ms. Carolyn Ann Oates Garner, 68, of 154 Nellie Ave, Mt. Olive, NC, who transitioned on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at her residence.

On Tuesday June 16, 2020 at 2:07pm God said come unto me my child and take your rest. Carolyn Ann Oates Garner was born on October 10, 1951 in Wayne County, North Carolina. She was the Daughter of the late Johnny Leach and Lucillie Oates.
Carolyn attended Wayne County Public Schools. She was also known to everyone as "susie" She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, cooking, dancing, and caring for her patients as a certified nursing assistant until her health failed.
Carolyn was predeceased by a special friend Mr.Glen Hinton
Carolyn leaves to cherish in her memories: three sons :Corey Garner, Marcus Garner (both of the home) and Terence Garner of Dudley, NC; four grandkids: Tanisha Garner, Quan Garner, Demetrius Oates, Jadon Garner; five great grandkids; Sisters: Joyce Peterkin of Goldsboro, NC, Beverly Pemberton of Mt. Olive, NC, and Martha Lofton of Dudley, NC; Brothers: Lavernon Pemberton(Dekilah), Timothy Pemberton and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
