Clyde Custer's Obituary
Mr. Clyde William Custer, 84, of 192 Smith Logging Lane, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Clyde William Custer, was born on November 24, 1932 in Weirton, West Virginia to William and Cora Custer.
He received his formal education in the Hancock County School Systems.
Clyde was proud to have been in the US Army for 10 years. He did a tour of duty in Korea, Munich and Fort Bragg. After
the Army he settled in Goldsboro,NC. He was employed at AP Parts for many years. In 1995 he moved back to
Newell, West Virginia where he lived until last year when he and Barbara moved back to Goldsboro NC to be with family.
His passion was his woodworking. He loved to make gifts for his friends and family.
Clyde Custer was preceded in death by his parents William & Cora Custer of Weirton, West Virginia;
brothers Chuck one sister Delores along with a son, Clyde Eugene Custer.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home along with her children, grandchildren & great grand children of West Virginia.
He is also survived by his children: Helen(Wayne) Reeves of Hampstead, NC; Carol (Craig) Hall of Clayton, NC; Ricky (Sheila)
Custer of Goldsboro, NC and Richard (Jean) Custer of Grantham, NC;10 Grandchildren: Michael Custer, Tommy Fail,
Gail (Dwayne) Pierce, Tonya (Ryan) Williams , Talon Custer, Tracy (Coda) Russell, Sarah (Ryan) Merrill, Richard (Bryce) Custer,
Michael Hall and Crystal (Andrew) Pulley along with 9 great grand children;1 sister: Gloria Jean (John) Gregory; 1 brother; Allen Custer both of Jupiter, Florida.
The Family will be receiving friends at 6:00PM at the Lords Table Church at 1215 Parkway Dr Goldsboro, NC. 27534
