Goldsboro- Mr. David Henry Hooker, Jr. , 59, of Goldsboro, began his journey home on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC.
David Henry Hooker, Jr., known by many as "Hooker Boy" aka "Boot" was born in Wilson County on January 8, 1961. He was the oldest of four children from his mom and the oldest of five children from his dad.
He attended Love Memorial Church in Dudley, NC, under the leadership of Pastor Jennifer and Richard Toler. He was a jack of all trades until his health declined. He loved his family.
He is survived by his wife Janie Mae Hill Hooker of the home, his loving mother; Helen Gray Barnes Hooker; Children: Valencia Adams (Toby), Tamika Hill, and Danica Hill. A godson James Hooker (RAT); six grandchildren; Four sisters: Barbara Hooker, Diana Hooker Edwards (Frank), Elizabeth Hooker (Dwight) and April Hooker; Four brothers: Keyray Hooker, Jermaine Hooker, Neil Hooker and Woody Hooker, Four Sister-in-Laws: Nola Bryant, Contrena Wooten (deceased), Phyllis Reid & Debra Spain and one brother-in-law, Albert Stanley Adams; Several aunts Carrie Barnes (Paul), Wilma Harrison, Dorothy Burns, Susan Hooker, Julia Thompson, Ethel Farmer, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
