David Howard Sampsell's Obituary
Mr. David Howard Sampsell, 55, of 193 Westbrook Church Road, Mt. Olive, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his residence.
David was born September 5, 1962 in Rochester, NY , to the late Dale and Katherine Sampsell.
He married his first love Connie Phillips on December 30, 1988 in Wolcott, NY.
Many know him as "Gentle Giant" with a heart of gold. Once you met David, your life would be forever blessed.
He was a free-spirited man that loved to sing & joke around; but, most of all he loved being there for others when they needed him most. David was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the most awesome title he held was "Pa Pa." He will always be remembered as a hard working man , that had no boundaries when it came to providing for his family and grandchildren . He will be missed by all that were blessed to know him; he touched many lives.
David is survived by his wife Connie Sampsell of the home, two sons: John ( Jennifer) Sampsell of Mt. Olive, NC; Dale (Bonnie) Sampsell all of Mt. Olive, NC; grandchildren: William, Austin, Skyler, Iziah, and Zoey. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Ann (Herb). He also had several nieces and nephews that he loved so very much.
The family will receive friends on sunday at the funeral home from 5:00 pm Until 7:00 pm
