Obituary
Helen Delores Hill Faison, daughter of the late William and Essie Hill, was born December 28, 1930, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She departed this life on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Hospice Care at the Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Helen was raised in Goldsboro, NC, and attended Wayne County Public Schools. She was the middle child and the only girl of three children. Both brothers, William Jr. and Charles, preceded her in death.
Helen's selflessness was a defining trait in her adult life in New Haven, Connecticut. She found joy in being a homemaker, cooking, tending to her many plants, and caring for her tropical fish. She also extended her care to working mothers, offering a helping hand with their little ones.
God blessed Helen with ninety-three years of celebration. Her love and memories will forever be cherished by her seven children; Emmett (Elaine) Swinson of Uniondale, NY; Beverly (James) Woodley fo Goldsboro, NC; Hudson (Wanda) Faison of Brentwood, NY; Ronald Faison of Columbia, SC; Donald Faison of West Haven, CT; Michael (Darlene) Faison of New Haven, CT; and Arthur Taylor of Goldsboro, NC, as well as her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
