Mary Helen Williams' Obituary
It is with sincere regret that we the Staff and Management pause to remember the Legacy of our President's beloved family matriarch.
Mary Darden Williams, known to family and dear friends as "Helen" & "Mary D" was born on June 28, 1946 to the late Willie Richard Darden, and Martha Ellen Lewis, in Sampson County, NC. She stepped out of life's back door as one of her favorite quartet singers, Lee WIlliams would say on June 5, 2020 at the Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC.
She received her formal education in the Sampson County School System and was a 1964 graduate of Hargrove High school.
She joined Goshen Disciples of Christ Church at an early age and would forever have them in her heart.
She was employed by Burlington Industries of Mt. Olive, NC, for many years as a Sewing Machine operator.
She was married to Albert Williams, Jr., for 34 years and to this union 6 children were born who will forever cherish fond memories.
She will be most remembered by family and friends for her love of cooking, sewing, growing flowers, shopping, reading her bible, spending time with her family and friends; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents: Willie Richard Darden and Martha Ellen Lewis; 5 siblings: Emma Gray Oates, Maxine Teachey, Albert Darden, Lonnie Darden and Jessie Lee Darden.
She leaves beautiful memories with all who knew her to include; Albert Williams, Sr., of Dudley, NC.; two daughters; Deborah Williams of Dudley, NC.; Angela Williams-Martin (Ontario) of Goldsboro, NC; four sons: Ernesto Williams, Carlos Williams, Albert Williams, III, all of Dudley, NC., and Anthony WIlliams (Milikia) of Smithfield, NC. 11 grandchildren: Dandrell Williams (Torskiki), Phillip Williams (Quanetta), Dekeivius Williams, Aliyah Williams, Janeeka Williams, Quadrick Williams, Jasmine Best, Damarian Henderson, Paige James, Te'Asia Williams and Keyonte Wells.; 9 great-grandchildren: Amari Moses, Amaj Moses, Riley Tubbs, Brayden Williams, Destinee' Williams, Jakevia Williams, Philecial Williams, and Quamelle Lofton; two sisters: Lou Bertha Darden of Mt. Olive, NC, and Martha King (Curtis) of Newton Grove, NC ; one brother, Willie Darden ( Sandra) of Faison, NC; 1 aunt, Louise Johnson of Baltimore, MD
She also leaves a dear and special cousin Susan Johnson who she lovingly called "Partner" along with a special friend and neighbor Deborah Graham and a host of other relatives and friends.
