Mt. Olive- We the staff and management of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home join with the Faison and connected families to announce the earthly departure of Mr. Charles Douglas Faison, 61, of Mt. Olive. Mr. Faison passed at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Charles Douglas Faison, son of the late Walter Russell Faison and Mandy Whitfield Faison, was born on May 2, 1960, in Wayne County, NC. On Saturday, August 28, 2021, he answered the Master's call and departed this life at his residence in Mt. Olive, NC.
Doug, as he was affectionately called, was a loving and happy person who enjoyed talking to any and everyone. Although he enjoyed life to the fullest and everything in it, his passion was fishing, hunting, and cooking. He was very skilled at playing dominos.
Including his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his siblings.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his sons: Fabian Teachey and Doug Best; 1 daughter: Hycinthia Graham; his siblings: Dorothy Faison and Walter Russell Faison, Jr; two sisters-in-law; 12 grandchildren; his partner Deloris Troublefield and her three children, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
