Mr. Michael Harper's Obituary
Dudley - The Management and Staff of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home extend its sincerest condolences to the family of Mr. Michael Harper, 55, who transitioned on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Wayne UNC Health Care Center, Goldsboro, NC.
On February 10th, 1965, Michael Anthony Harper was born to Annette and Jesse Harper. While fighting a courageous battle, God stepped in and said "Well done thou good and faithful servant, you have fought a good fight.
Michael graduated from Southern Wayne Highschool in 1984. He worked at Waukesha (SPX) for 25 years and was a Detention Center Officer for Wayne County Sheriff Department until his health began to decline.
Michael Love his family Dearly Michael enjoyed fishing, helping others in any way possible, being outdoors, and watching his favorite NFL football team The Washington Redskins. He was also a member of Deliverance Temple Revival Center of Dudley NC under the leadership of Apostle Lester Coward.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Annette and Brother Reginald Harper maternal Grandparents Joe and Savannah Frederick paternal grandparents Russell and Julia Boone
Memories of his love, Moral, Spiritual and physical support will be forever cherished in the hearts of his survivors. His loving wife Debra Harper of the home father Jesse Harper of Dudley, Five children, Michael Harper Jr of Gastonia,NC, Timothy Harper of Dudley,NC , Tunika Carlton (Daniel) of Pikeville, NC, Lakeithia Carlton of Goldsboro, NC, Devin Carlton (Ciera) of Mt Olive, NC , twelve grandchildren, Sha'Niyah Harper, Dayveion, Kenan, Tyheim Harper, Dasani Harper, Da'marley Harper, Davien Thompson, Janaya Thompson, Jakiyah Thompson, Devin Carlton Jr, Caitlynn Carlton, and Kara Colvin, one sister Takiyah Carr (Donald) one Brother Ricky Harper (Cynthia) Brother in laws Herbert Mckinney (Wanda) Ricky Mckinney (Patricia) Otis Mckinney (Paris) Reginald Mckinney, Anthony Mckinney, Maurice Mckinney (Gwendalyn) Sister in laws: Vicky Harper Gaynelle Hall (Gerald) Carolyn Ward (Bobby) Linda Musgrave, Lannie Bolden (Charles) Catherine Vinson (Freddie) Special Aunt Katrina Kornegay (Bobby) Aunts: Lavern Blakey, Debra Clevinger (Tony) Diane Bell, Janet Hogue (Daryl) and Uncle Richard Pearsall a host of Nieces and Nephews and two very special brothers and friends William (Peanut) Pearsall and Gene Hook
