Mr. Nathaniel "Nate Bone" Kornegay's Obituary
The Staff and Management of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Kornegay and connected families to announce the transition of Mr. Nathaniel Kornegay, 68, of Mount Olive, NC.
Nathaniel "Natebone" Kornegay was born on January 14, 1954, to the late Lenora Bynum Kornegay and George Kornegay, Sr.
He was employed for many years as a farmer, and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working, cars, and motorcycles.
He will be remembered for his favorite saying " Well " which means so be it.
He was preceded in death by: Leonora Bynum Kornegay, mother,; George Kornegay, Jr, father; Demontae Leach, son; and David Earl Kornegay, brother.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children: Shumakia Johnson of Goldsboro, NC, and Nathaniel Leach of Dudley, NC; his sisters: Annie Williams( Samuel), Katrina Jose (J.Obene) of Mt. Olive, NC, Georgetta Kornegay (Wayne Broadhurst) all of Mt. Olive, NC and Kathy Mae Kornegay of Dudley, NC, Kenyetta Kornegay, of Mt. Olive, NC, Adrian Kornegay, Mt. Olive, NC, and Daniel Simmmons of Warsaw, NC; two brothers: Tyrone Korngeay of Goldsboro, NC and Elder Daniel Bryant of Williamston, NC; 8 grandchildren: Tywan Johnson, Ian Dale, Azahriah Johnson, Kylan Oats, Ashatavia Leach, Montaviana Leach, Natasiah Leach, Nevaeh Leach and 4 great grandkids; 1 aunt; Lillian Ashford, 1 uncle; Joseph Kornegay, and a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends: Teresa Leach, Zena Johnson, Bernard West, Elroy Player, and Bobby Aycock.
