Mr. Sherrill Newsome's Obituary
The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Newsome and connected families to announce the earthly departure of Mr. Sherrill Newsome 76. Mr. Newsome died Tuesday, July 19th at the Brook Stone Living Center, Pollocksville, NC.
Sherrill (Sharold) Newsome was born December 30, 1945, in Sampson County, NC to the late John Pat Newsome and Lessie Mae Newsome.
God called him home on July 19, 2022, at Brook Stone Living Center in Pollock, NC. Sherrill was a member of Piney Green DOC.
He enjoyed fishing, farming, and working on cars and he was employed for several years with Kemp Furniture & Dewey Brothers. He was willing to do whatever it took to raise his family.
He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School.
Sherrill was the son of the late John Pat Newsome & Lessie Mae Newsome.
In addition to his parents, he was also united with his siblings: his twin brother Harold Newsome, Jerry P. Newsome ( J. P.) & Pattie Mae King.
Cherished and loving memories will forever be in the hearts of his children: Shelton R. & Robert L. Newsome of Goldsboro, NC, Charlene Warren, Delfonda (Brittney) Newsome, and Charlotte Newsome, Saul (Laquan) of Dudley; sixteen grandchildren; Jamyrah & Jayden Hobbs, Alexander, Raymond, and Sherrill Newsome, Latisha & Latosha Newsome, Anthony Warren, Alani Newsome, and Da'ari Walton Nicholas & Brandon Newsome and Kenyall Shine, Demarcus & Demetrius Sutton; five great-grandchildren Justyle Davis, Josiah and Ma'zaih Myers, Romelo Warren and Million Edwards; Siblings: one sister, Miss Marie Williams, 8 Sisters-in-law and special sister-in-law Carolyn Newsome, Sabrina, Zackery & James M. Warren he loved as his kids, a special nephew who followed him around William Pete King and a host of other of nieces & nephews relatives and friends.
