Annie Beulah (Kornegay) Williams, the daughter of the late Lenora Bynum Kornegay and the late George Kornegay Jr., was born on June 7, 1950, in Wayne County. She departed on July 9, 2023, at ECU Health Duplin Hospital. Well known to many as "Annie Bea," she attended Wayne County Public School, where she received her education and was a part of the G.W. Carver High School class of 1969. In the early 1970s, she married Samuel Williams of Goldsboro, NC. She was employed at Butterball LLC and retired after 32 years.
She spent years as a member of St. Mark FWB Church of Mount Olive, NC, until her health started to decline, then she began attending First Baptist Church Calypso with family. Annie Bea had a special love for her family and friends. She loved to cook, and her signature dishes were a delight to anyone who tried them, but she was always open to trying different recipes. Also, like her mother, Annie Bea enjoyed feeding people, especially her Sunday dinners. In addition to her parents, Annie Bea was preceded in death by her brothers, David E. Kornegay and Nathaniel Kornegay.
She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Annie Bea leaves to cherish her precious memories ...
