Goldsboro - The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors, humbly announce the transition of Mrs. Kathy McClarin, 45. Mrs. McClarin transitioned on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC.
Kathy Marie Worrell McClarin, 45, departed her earthly body on October 25, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. Kathy was born July 2, 1978, in Bridgeport Connecticut to her loving parents, Vickie Worrell and the late Sunver Worrell (Muffin).
Kathy attended Goldsboro High School class of 97'. Kathy entered the holy matrimony with Curtis McClarin. She enjoyed working at Goldsboro Assisted Living for over 10 years.
Kathy was a devoted mother to her 4 children: Curtianna Mcclarin, Titianna Mcclarin, Curtis Mcclarin Jr, and Skylar Mcclarin. She cherished her role as a mother and took great pride in raising them with love, care, and unwavering support. Her children were the light of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance that will forever be cherished.
In addition to her children, Kathy was a proud grandmother to 4 grandchildren: Juelz Crawford, Ma'zi Philips, Dream Philips, and Miante Artis Jr. She adored her grandchildren and found immense joy in spending time with them, creating lasting memories that all will treasure.
Kathy was a beloved sister to 7 siblings: Sonya Artis, George McNair, Tomika Valentine, Decarlos McNair, Robin Flowers, Ethel Worrell, and Lisa Worrell. They shared a special bond built on love, laughter, and shared experiences. Through thick and thin, they stood by each other's side.
She was a loving daughter to her mother, Vickie Worrell, who provided her with endless love and support throughout her life. Kathy cherished her relationship with her mother and was grateful for the guidance and wisdom she received.
Kathy also leaves behind a loving maternal grandmother Pauline Flowers of Staten Island, New York.
Kathy had a wide circle of friends who were like family to her. She valued their friendship and shared countless memories and laughter with them. Their support and companionship brought her immense joy and comfort throughout her life.
Her nieces, nephews, and extended family will also miss her deeply. Kathy had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, and she always made an effort to be present in their lives, offering guidance, love, and support whenever needed.
Kathy was known for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her warm smile and feisty spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
