Pikeville -The Management and Staff of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home extend its sincerest condolences to the family of Mrs. Betty Lou Strickland, 76, who transitioned on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home.
Ms. Betty Lou Williams was born on November 27, 1943 to the late Earnest Lovette Williams and Viola Christene Howell.
She received her formal education in the Wayne County Public Schools and would later be employed as a CNA for many years providing care for the elderly at a local Nursing home before she retired.
She was predeceased by 1 son; Wilbur Earl Strickland and 1 daughter Vicky Lou Strickland.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her dog who she absolutely adored Sam, 1 son; Reverend Kenneth Strickland and 1 daughter Tammy (Henry) Verduzco both of Pikeville, NC; 3 grandchildren: Christopher C. Strickland, Timothy Bradley, and Amanda Strickland; 1 great grandchild; Destiny Bradley; an adopted family; Wanda and Joe Martinez and Javier McCauley.
