Ms. Catherine "Neat" Roberts' Obituary
Goldsboro - The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors, humbly announce the earthly transition of Ms. Catherine Roberts, 64. Ms. Roberts transitioned at her residence Tuesday, December 12, 2023.Ms. Catherine Vernetha Roberts, affectionately known as "Neat" was born on January 18, 1959 inGoldsboro, NC, daughter of the late and Reynold Lee Roberts Sr and Mother Annie Mae Bell Roberts.Neat had a total of eight siblings as she was the third and the most protective. Neat retired as a Home HealthCare Aid in 2011 to become a stay-at-home grandmother full time. Neat was known for sewing, crafting,cooking her infamous Chicken Salad, sweet potato pie, blueberry crunch, potato salad and recently whatshe called Christmas "crack" cookies along with always being the life of the party. Neat was a woman of faith and accepted Christ at an early age. She became a dedicated member of Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church-Goldsboro, NC under the leadership of late Pastor Joseph McKinley Williams. Sr. where she led Children's' Church Sunday mornings.
She was preceded in death by her Brother Reynold Lee "Bubba" Roberts. Jr. and Edward Eugene Roberts.
Cherishing her love and memories are:Son-Larry Coley (Gloria Perez Coley),Daughter-Jonesha Lanier (Kedrain Carmichael)Grandsons-Kenneth Coley, Keyonte Reeves, Cedric Carmichael, Jr.Granddaughter-Melany Perez ColeyBrother-George Roberts Sr.Sisters-Annie Roberts Best (John), Sister Gloria Jean Roberts Sutton, Sister Velma Mae Roberts McClarin, Sister Elma Roberts Young (Pete) and Sister Angela Roberts McCrae (Michael).
And a host of cousins, nieces and nephews along with friends that experienced the love caring woman she is and forever will be in everyone's memories.
