Wilson -The staff and management of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations join with the Howell and connected families to announce the earthly transition of Ms. Gloria L. Howell, 58, who transitioned on Sunday at the Wilson Medical Center of Wilson, NC.
Gloria was born to Mary M. Howell of Wilson, NC, and Johnnie Lee Howell (Deceased).
Gloria was the life of the party. She loved helping others and was employed as a caretaker and housekeeper for many in the elderly community.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; one son, Marquel Howell of Greenville, NC.; One granddaughter Quelnya Howell of Wilson, NC, and One grandson Quel Reddick of Greenville, NC.; Two sisters: Diane Ruffin - Coley of Goldsboro, NC and Judith Delores Howell of Pikeville, NC. Three brothers: Johnnie Lee Howell Jr. of Fremont, NC, Leroy (Pamela) Howell of Dudley, NC, and Morris Ray Howell of Wilson, NC.; One niece Cherree Ruffin; seven nephews: Carlos Ruffin, Anthony Howell. Jamahl Howell, Terrence Howell, Carsheme Ruffin, Adrian Howell, and Elijah Wilson; three great-nieces and four great-nephews. One great-great niece and one great-great-nephew; Several Aunts: Loraine Wells of Goldsboro, NC, Jean (Johnny) Smith, Frances (Leroy) Ruffin, all of Fremont, NC. Shirley Best, Dianne (Wallace) of Pikeville, NC Aletha (Stewart), Ralph of Charlotte, NC, Shirley Ruffin Howell, and Penny Diggs both of Wilson, NC, Carolyn Cox Howell of Clayton, NC; Her Uncles: Bishop Joe L. Ruffin, Sr of Upper Marlboro, MD, Bobby Howell, David Howell, Leroy (France) Ruffin, Larry (Claudette) Howell and James (Sheryl) Howell all of Fremont, NC, Jesse Ruffin, Raymond (Francine) both of Wilson, NC and Robert (Carolyn) Howell of Goldsboro, NC; as well as a host of other cousins and friends.
