Ms. Ivory Edwards' Obituary
Fayetteville - The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors have the solemn duty to announce the earthly departure of Ms. Ivory Edwards, 30. Today we celebrate the luminous life of Ms.Ivory Jykilla Sharon Dorla Edwards. She was born to Ivory Edwards and Gertrude Cobb Edwards on October 10th, 1991, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was also educated by the Philadelphia County school system and Bladen County with hopes of eventually becoming a teacher or flight attendant. She was born with the natural gift of wanting to help others and bringing such light and joy to one's day even if it was only a few seconds. Her smile was contagious and so was her laughter. She currently was employed by Mountaire of Siler City North Carolina. Ivory had two beautiful children, Ge'Saya and Wynter, who were her everything and she loved them with her whole entirety. Ivory was a wonderful mother who knew her children were destined for great accomplishments in life as they kicked in her womb. She was very much like her mother who had no other pleasure in life but to bring others happiness, while also being able to tell you what was on her mind, she was honest. Her hobbies included listening to music, dancing, laughing, writing and being silly with family and friends whom adored her. It is said, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and although we mourn with anguish that our beloved was called home so soon, we rejoice with knowing that Ivory was one of love, faith, and strength and we will continue to carry her legacy. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Cobb Edwards but leaves to cherish her everlasting memory, her two loving children, Ge'Saya and Wynter of the home. Her companion Walter Shaw. Father Ivory Edwards, Grandmother Maxine Reed, Grandfather Cordell Patterson. Sisters Natalie (Jeremy), Karimah, Catina, and Mary. Brothers Willie, Isaiah, and Sam. And of course, little sisters Deaisha and Acieonia. Along with her loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and pleather of friends who the family truly appreciates. With love she also leaves to cherish her memories sister cousins: Porchea, Salina, Lateefah, Jameera, Kita,Kaleah, Shyasia, Shyrema, Crystal, and Anglina. Sister friends: LaDonna, Shae, Jameera, Shantel, LaTonya, and Adrienne. In advance, we the family do apologize that we could not list everyone that Ivory touched and loved, but please know that you have touched us in such a way that will never be forgotten from your outpour of love and encouraging words!
