Goldsboro - The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors announces the passing of SSGT Mark Hess, 65, of Goldsboro, NC. Mr.Hess departed this life on 20 June 2023 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife; Joyce, a son, Mark Alan and his wife Kellie of Goldsboro, a son, Steven Cory of Goldsboro, and three grandchildren, Sarah Hess, Logan Hess, and Lucy Hess.Mark was born in Charleston, West Virginia. He served in the United States Air Force for six years. He worked as a Machinist following his active duty service while he continued to support his family as a military spouse.
