GA. -The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors humbly announce the earthly departure of Ms. Vanisha L. Thompson, 38.
Ms. Vanisha LaShelle Thompson was born in Wayne County on July 10, 1986, to Ms.
Felicia Thompson and Mr. Herman Williams. Ms. Vanisha attended Wayne County

Vanisha was passionate about doing her hair, laughing, and enjoying the company of
family and friends. Vanisha’s favorite color was pink, and she loved to wear sunglasses.
She enjoyed babysitting, calling herself “Daycare Mommy Neshia,” and loved saying to
the kids, “Daycare kids, y'all want some breakfast?" Some of her favorite sayings were
“It is” and “You hear me.” Vanisha was a leader, not a follower; she did whatever she
wanted, when she wanted, exactly as she wanted. She liked to spend her time in
Atlanta, where she went by the name “ London. “
Vanisha was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James Thompson and
Mary L. Thompson, her paternal grandmother, Shirley Williams, and her aunt, Judy
Thompson. She also mourned the loss of three great-uncles, Donald Ray Thompson,
Jeffery Thompson, and Marvin Thompson, as well as three cousins, Sequellas
Thompson, Jonathan O’Neal, and Te’Asia Phillips.
Her memories will be considered fond and forever cherished by her mother, Felicia
Thompson; her father, Herman Williams; her grandmother, Barbara Thompson; one
sister, Shaquonna Thompson; one brother Demoris Thompson, both of Goldsboro; two
daughters, Nyeshia Artis of Fremont, Amyiah Thompson Toler of Goldsboro, three sons

Shonda Thompson, and four uncles, Michael Thompson, John McKinney Jr., Samuel
Thompson, and Kenneth Taylor, all of whom reside in Goldsboro. Two great aunts,
Linda Thompson and Sharon Thompson, two great-uncles, James Thompson and

and friends.
