Goldsboro - With profound sorrow and empathy, the Staff and Management of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors announce the earthly transition of Ms. Vickie F. Worrell, 71. Ms. Worrell transitioned at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Vickie Ann (Flowers) Worrell, 71, of Goldsboro, NC passed away on November 5, 2024
at her residence.
She was born on August 7, 1953, in Goldsboro, NC, to the late James Earl Flowers and
Pauline Fennell Flowers.
She attended Wayne County Public Schools and was associated with the Baptist Faith.
She grew up in the Wayne County area and lived in the Bridgeport, Connecticut, area
before returning to Wayne County, NC.
She loved traveling, cooking, shopping, and cooking for her family on the holidays. She
loved getting together with her children. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and
friend. She loved her children and grandchildren. She helped anybody in need and as
her health declined, she was able to still let you know she loved you. To know her is to
love her, She accepted the Lord into and over her life. She leaves a legacy of many
things she passed onto her children, and grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Sunver Worrell, her Father James Earl
Flowers, her mother Pauline Flowers, her grandmothers Rosa Lee Flowers, Minnie
Fennell, her grandmother James Flowers, her daughter Kathy McClarin, grandson Shai
T. Valentine special brother-in- law Timmie Robertson.
She was led home due to a lengthy illness. She will be truly missed and forever in our
hearts. A big thank you goes out to the family for all the love and support you gave.
She is survived by her children: Sonya A. Artis, George Devon McNair (Diane), Tomika
R. Valentine (Lewis), Minister Decarlos A. McNair (TiTi), Robin R. Flowers, Ethel N.
Worrell, Lisa V. Worrell (Curbert), her aunts: Doris Reid , Shirley Dingle, Betty Staton
(Pete), Janice (Bunny) Fennell, her sisters: Jacqueline Cephas, Vanessa Rowes,
Brenda Simon, Barbara (Ann) Robertson, Karen Knox (Steffon) and Crystal Flowers;
her brothers: Reginald Flowers (Diane), Terry Flowers (Joyce) sister-in-laws, Joann
Worrell and Sylvia Worrell and brother-in-law Sylvester Worrell.
