William E. Manley's Obituary
"Glory Glory , Hallelujah Since I Laid My Burdens down."
On November 4, 2018, Mr. William E. Manley 76, traded his earthly burdens for heavens eternal rest at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mr. William E. Manley was affectionately called Earl. Born, April 7, 1942 in Duplin County, NC to the late Bertha Mae Miller. William was called home to enter into rest on November 4, 2018 , after a long term illness. William loved and cherished his mother, children, and family dearly. William was a enthusiastic skilled craftsman. He obtained knowledge concerning most any type carpentry. He was extremely spontaneous in his work, laboring persistenlty until his projects were completed to his and his customers satisfaction. He was creatively gifted with drawing and portrait painting. A senior citizen left an automobile as a charitable gift in her will, to express her gratitude towards his rendered service. Her remarks were, " he was faithful when I called."
Early in his younger years William purchased a home to support his mother he was immensely passionate concerning her well being. During his younger years he was fond of sports cars and owned several. He always desired and purchased the best that he could afford. Although he experienced many challenges and hardships in life his mother and his family. encouraged, supported and helped him adjust as much as possible.
In December of 2017, WIlliam accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. William will sorely be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sons: Steven and Ronnie Swinson

Four Sisters: Peggy Outlaw and Barbara Brinson of Dudley,NC; Belinda Miller of Goldsboro, NC and Angeline Grantham of Mt. Olive, NC.
Two Uncles: John A. Manley of New Haven, CT. and Samuel Manley of Philadelphia, PA
Two Aunts: Hattiebell Manley of Dudley, NC and Lue Virginia Manley of Philadelphia, PA
A host of nephews, nieces relatives and friends.
