Dr. Frances Ward-Johnson's Obituary
Raleigh - With profound sorrow and empathy, the Staff and Management of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors humbly announce the earthly transition of Dr. Frances Ward-Johnson, 60. Dr. Ward-Johnson passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the UNC-Chapel Hill Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.
Dr. Ward-Johnson made her heavenly transition on Friday, September 20, 2024 at UNC- Chapel Hill Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC surrounded by family. She was born on March 23, 1964, in Wayne County to Joe Allen and Pastor Occie Whitfield Ward. Her siblings survive her: Deboria Ward Hill (Frankie) of Trenton, NC; and Roeshyon Ward (Shelia) of Goldsboro, NC; her sweetheart Elder Larry Carter of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by her aunts: Macie Campbell of Goldsboro, NC; Lucy Farmer (Willie) of Wilson, NC; Mary Ward of Towson, MD; Esther Worthy (Ronald) of Philadelphia, PA; and Mary Ward of New Castle, DE; her uncles, James Ward and Willie Fuller of Goldsboro NC; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life and homegoing services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Love Temple, 201 N. Oak Forest Road, Goldsboro, N.C. Eulogist will be Bishop Devin C. Pickett, Pastor of Saint Delight Church and Presiding Prelate/Southern District Convocation of the United Holy Church of America. Dr. Ward-Johnson will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Williams and Ashford Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Goldsboro,NC.
